As far as quests go look for Nikolaus in Lions Arch, Ive heard stories of candy cane shards being made into candy cane weapons.

Man, my ranger SO needs a Candy Cane bow. +20% to pin down because of stickiness!
I would also guess from Grandpa Coalshack's dialogue posted earlier in this thread, that we'll see something big from Dwayna and Grenth, maybe on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (December 25th).
Maybe even be able to have snowball fights in Lion's Arch? That would be nice.

This is true, he offers gingerbread shield and off hand focus item. You can also make candycane weapons out of candycane shards!

If he was speaking of the planet "earthly" would have been capitalized.

Also, as long as we're getting "technical": earth (with the lower case e) is another word for "soil" or "dirt"; From dictionary.com: "The softer, friable part of land; soil, especially productive soil."

I know... I've seen it happen...

New build! Mini update to observer mode 12-22-2005
Update - Thursday, December 22
Improvements to Observer Mode:
* You can now click on a player's name in the heads-up display to center the camera on that player.
* The Map window now automatically repositions and centers itself on the selected character if that character moves outside of the visible area.
* The list of observable games has better map thumbnails and sorts games by start time.

Earthly wouldn't be capitalized, even when speaking specifically of things of the Earth. It's the same deal with heavenly and godly. (A bit of useless information - and I can only vouch for American English usage here).

Regardless, earthly can still be in reference to soil/physical/etc instead of the planet.
